Does your succulent look bad? Do you think your cactus has a problem? In this guide you can find some common issues. This guide is for succulents and cacti purchased from Succora.
Shipping stress (wrinkles / softness / drooping)
A little stress after shipping is normal. Try the steps below:
- Place the plant in bright, indirect light for 2–3 days (avoid harsh direct sun at first).
- Avoid watering immediately unless the soil is completely dry and the plant is severely shriveled.
- Make sure the pot has drainage and the soil isn’t staying wet.
After-delivery adjustment tips (first week)
- Keep the plant in a stable spot (no constant moving).
- Increase sun exposure gradually over 1–2 weeks.
- If you repot, use a fast-draining succulent/cactus mix and wait a short period before the first watering.
Common care questions
Leaves look wrinkled: often underwatering or root stress. Let the plant settle, then water only when soil is fully dry.
Leaves feel soft: often too much moisture or a soil mix that stays wet too long—pause watering and ensure good drainage.
Plant is stretching (getting tall): usually needs more light—increase light gradually.
